Willowbrook offers a safe, and nurturing environment for children and young adults of all ages. To find the group best suited to your child, please see the table below.

Squirrel's Nest, ages 3-4 (Age 3 - half days: mornings only, and must be 3 by June 1 - MUST BE POTTY TRAINED. No exceptions) (Age 4 may attend half or full days) The Squirrel's Nest is an area of beginnings, with time to explore and try out new skills in the arts in an emotionally secure environment. Children are offered arts, puppetry, weaving, ceramics, music, including violin and cello, dance, drama, and nature study. They are guided by their own teachers, as well as by other specialists at Willowbrook. They are invited to participate in theater productions. *4 year olds also have the opportunity to engage in more in-depth explorations in the full-day program, and may attend in the morning or afternoon as a half-day option. Note: At times this area is full, so please state specific dates of attendance on registration form; please do not leave blank or put possible dates, as this takes space away from others. During the program, for registration or add-on days please check at registration desk to be sure of space availability.

The Village, ages 5-7 Must be 5 by starting date in order to be in Village - No exceptions. Crickets - Age 5         Owls - Age 51/2 Beavers - Age 6         Otters - Age 61/2 Herons - Age 7         Eagles - Age 71/2 The growing interests and diverse talents of this busy, eager group will have many opportunities for expression. Each age group in the Village will have its own home base and teacher-counselor, who will help guide the children in making activity choices. Most of the day, the age groups will mix as they make individual choices. Activity centers in the Village include multi-arts, ceramics, weaving, puppetry and storytelling, drama, dance, nature, and music, including piano, violin, cello, recorder and guitar on request, by Village music staff. Other specialists also visit. Children may choose to participate in theater productions. 7 and 7½ year olds also have the option in the afternoon as a group to attend a pre-scheduled class with an Artisan Specialist daily.

The Artisans, ages 8-11 (Must be 8 by starting date) This age group may choose their daily activities from a variety of expanded art centers in the larger areas, with opportunity to delve more deeply into the arts, and explore arts more independently. Staff will be available for those children who are new at Willowbrook, or who need help becoming acquainted with the various centers in our larger realm.

Advanced Artisans, ages 12-18 The high school program offers opportunity for advanced work in some of the arts, including drama and theater, fine arts, sculpture, ceramics, stained glass, basketry, jewelry, creative writing, dance, choral music, and instruments. All other Artisan art areas are also available to this group. They are offered at individual levels of experience and expertise, allowing for in-depth study.
