Lunch

Full Day Students:

Bring a sack lunch in a cooler box and a water bottle with the camper's name printed clearly on both.

Half day morning students:

Lunch hour not included. Children must be accompanied by parent to stay for lunch. Willowbrook is not responsible for these students after 12 noon.

Snacks

Willowbrook does not provide snacks.

3 - 7 year olds are required to bring a healthy mid-morning snack from home - no sugary snacks, candy bars, etc. please. These age groups stop every morning for a snack time.

Older students may also bring a healthy snack.

What to Wear

Wear washable clothes, grubbies, closed-toe shoes (no flip flops), warm clothing on cold days, jackets with hoods & long pants on rainy days - we're under cover most of the time, but it can get damp. 3, 4, and 5 year olds need to bring a labeled plastic bag with extra clothes to leave during their stay.

Check Lost & Found regularly for missing items.

Carpools

All parents of students who are carpooling must fill out a pick-up permission form for each child. A verifying phone call is required before any camper is allowed to leave with a person who is not listed.

For metro-area carpool information, the City of Portland recommends the website www.dividetheride.com (Willowbrook doesn't facilitate carpool arrangements nor does it endorse carpool websites).

Safety & Security

Security fences surround our 4 acre exclusive use area to restrict access to the Tualatin River and to public areas of the park.

Willowbrook maintains a low student/staff ratios low.

Security staff and a registered nurse are on duty throughout the day.

A verifying phone call is required before any camper is allowed to leave with a person who is not listed onthe pick-up permission form.

Special Needs

Willowbrook invites children with special needs to attend whenever possible. Most art areas are handicap accessible.  Remember, this is a park with rough ground.  Most needs can be accommodated with the aid of a visiting adult attending with the student.  Please call for more information.

Visitors

Parents are welcome to observe between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. when parking is allowed, but for our students' protection,

  • sign in at the registration desk upon arrival
  • show a driver's license
  • wear a Willowbrook visitor badge

Please DO NOT enter children's learning centers or disturb the teachers during class time. Stay outside the area you are observing. If you have children with you, they are not to enter areas or engage in activities. Sign out and drop off your visitor badge as you leave. If you need to give your child a message or pick him/her up early, staff will get your child while you wait in the registration area.
