Additional information about parking, lunch & snacks, safety, and visitors, can be found in the table below:

Lunch
Full Day Students: Bring a sack lunch in cooler boxes, also a water bottle, with child's name printed clearly on both.

Half day morning students: lunch hour not included. Children must be accompanied by parent to stay for lunch. Willowbrook is not responsible for these students after 12 noon.
Snacks
3 - 7 year olds need to bring a healthy mid-morning snack from home - no sugary snacks, candy bars, etc. please. This is required. Willowbrook does not provide snack. These areas stop every morning for a snack time.

Older students may also bring a healthy snack.
What to Wear
Wear washable clothes, grubbies, closed-toe shoes, and warm clothing on cold days, also jackets with hoods & long pants on rainy days - we're under cover most of the time, but it can get damp. 3 & 4 yr. olds need to bring a labeled plastic bag with extra clothes to leave during their stay.

Check Lost & Found for missing items at times. Many things get left.

Carpools
All parents of students carpooling must fill out a pick-up permission slip for each child. We do not let any child go without a verifying phone call if the person's name is not on the pick-up slip.
Safety
Four acres of areas and centers are all fenced in, with no access to the Tualatin River, or to public areas of the park. Willowbrook also keeps student/staff ratios low. A security staff is also on duty through the day.
Special Needs
Willowbrook enables those with special needs to attend whenever possible. Most art areas are handicap accessible. With the aid of a visiting adult attending with the student, most needs can be accommodated. Please call for more information.
Visitors
Parents are welcome to observe between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. when parking is allowed, but for our students' protection,
  • sign in at the registration desk upon arrival
  • show a driver's license
  • wear a Willowbrook visitor badge
Please DO NOT enter children's learning centers or disturb the teachers during class time. Stay outside the area you are observing. If you have children with you, they are not to enter areas or engage in activities. Sign out and drop off your visitor badge as you leave. If you need to give your child a message or pick him/her up early, staff will get your child while you wait in the registration area.
Arrival
Parking for 3, 4, & 5 yr-olds only: Parents of these ages will park in designated parking area and escort their children to sign-in/badge pick-up area. Drop-off needs to be done in a timely way to allow others to take turns parking.

Ages 6 & Older: Form 2 lanes, drive to drop-off point, and staff will help children out of car and escort them to sign-in/badge pick-up area.

If Drop-off Point is Full: Go around again. The wait should be momentary.
Departure
When waiting for your child in the pick-up line, please stay with your vehicle, fill out a driver's slip handed you, and let our staff get your child and bring him/her to your car. At times you will be asked to park in the overflow area and sign your child out yourself.
