Guest Artist: Nancy Downie, hammered dulcimer performer
Our first guest artist will be Nancy Downie, a local hammered dulcimer performer. She will share a program with us on her hammered dulcimer, a unique folk instrument with many courses of strings which, as the name implies, are struck with little wooden hammers. Her show is always a hit with audiences. Nancy will play folk songs, classical favorites, and patriotic standards. Children will have a chance to look at a hammered dulcimer, under supervision, after the performance.
