Due to COVID-19’s unimaginable impact, it is with a heavy heart that Willowbrook has made the decision to cancel camp this summer. Given recommended timelines for continued mitigation, social distancing, and group size limitations, as well as the size and free-flowing nature of our camp, the Willowbrook leadership team believes this is the wisest and most responsible decision we can make to ensure the safety of our Willowbrook community.
We understand how disappointing it will be for our campers, families and staff to be unable to return to a place they love and call home and we share in their sense of loss.
Together we will get through this very hard thing and envision our beloved Willowbrook rise up out of the landscape of Brown’s Ferry Park again next summer. Thank you all for your support and patience as we adapt and work together to find new ways to keep the magic and spirit of Willowbrook alive!
New Announcements from Willowbrook
April 10, 2020 –
Will camp happen this summer? Right now, YES. We are still a couple months away and are planning for another amazing camp season. We are keeping a positive attitude while continuing to monitor all the information. Hopefully developments, in the weeks to come, will allow us to operate camp as long as we can meet our top priority – providing a safe, healthy, and inspiring environment for our campers. We will do everything we can to make that happen, in consultation with the local health experts and government authorities. If we are unable to hold camp this summer, we are honoring our cancellation policy and also offering the following:
Extending our cancellation deadline to June 22, 2020 (originally June 1). We will push that deadline back if needed.
If any point camp is cancelled, all families will receive a full tuition refund - less the $30 registration fee to help cover, in part, Willowbrook expenses.
